Alexia Larraine

Alexia Larraine was born to mother and artist Sandra Sable. Trained and raised by a family of artists Alexia flourished in an environment full of paintings and art projects, classical ballet and music. Alexia’s passion for the arts has been a lifelong journey deeply influenced by this strong family tradition. Sandra, her mother, still remains her primary artistic influence. Alexia’s voice and style as a painter became more defined when she combined her overwhelming love of science with her love of painting.

Her mission as a painter is to inspire the world around her with the pure fascination she experiences in the beauty, complexity and connection of the universe. Working on large surfaces Alexia’s paintings emanate from a high level of research, study and enthusiasm seen in the magic she finds in the scientific world. From the cosmos to the atom Alexia’s paintings are compositions that remind and entrance us that everything around us is filled with elegance, wonder, mystery and magic.

Alexia’s vibrant and movement filled paintings expresses her internal joy and curiosity in the universe. With childlike exuberance they parallel a strong and intense spirituality. Her world is rendered in sentimental reflections of light and the movement of color. With the source of her inspiration so clearly presented, her paintings tend to radiate energy. Guided with that energy the works invite the viewer to experience a serene enchantment. By engulfing the viewer in the innocence and need of deepening our understanding of the universe Alexia challenges us to experience the astonishment and splendor found in the romance that science and the universe provides.

Alexia studied Liberal Arts at the University of Central Florida.
