Sometimes you feel the urgency in the art. The outstretched arms, the blood on the ground…. the agony, desire, yearning, movement, marching, and Divine Intervention. The ripped, torn, and crumbled paper only adds to the fragility of the visual aesthetic --man’s plight in this world of hostility and hope. Purvis Young was known to paint on just about anything to give the world his message…. man must be willing to listen.

Have we forgotten how to listen?
